A D.C. Teachers Federal Credit Union ATM card gives you access to your accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at any ATM in the STAR or CIRRUS networks. (There are more than 2000 such ATMs in the Washington metropolitan area alone.)

The Many Uses of Your ATM Card
You can use your ATM card to:
     • Get cash from your share account
     • Get cash from your share draft account
     • Find out your balances
     • Transfer funds between accounts
     • Get a cash advance on Visa

The POS Option
You can also make point of sale (POS) purchases with your card. In a POS transaction, the funds required for your purchase are immediately debited from the credit union account you designate. It saves you the trouble of writing a check and relieves you of the need to carry lots of cash or use credit. Best of all, the entire transaction takes only seconds.

In the Washington metropolitan area, you can use your card to make POS transactions at any of the following retailers:
     • Safeway
     • Giant
     • Mobil Oil
     • Exxon
     • Crown Petroleum
     • Total Beverage
     • and more!

You can also make POS transactions at any U.S. post office.

How to save on ATM fees
When you use ATMs that belong to D C Teachers Federal Credit Union, your transactions are completely free. But sometimes our ATMs are not convenient. So keep in mind that you can get cash back at many places including the grocery store without paying a fee. When you make a point-of-sale purchase, select the option to get cash back - usually up to $50.00.

You can also save money by using MacLine Audio Response for free balance inquiries. If you make an inquiries at an ATM we don't own, you'll be charged a fee. Of course, you can make free inquiries at our machines.

To apply for an ATM card you must come into the credit union main office at the Edmonds School Building or make an appointment at the UDC Branch office. This appointment is necessary in order to establish your confidential access code. If you cannot come into either office, please call to make other arrangements.
